A Cautionary Tale on Facebook Fan Pages

My Facebook Fan Page is central to my marketing strategy, and if you’re a small entrepreneur, you should build such a page too.

Here’s a very interesting article by Ari Herzog over at AriWriter.com.  The takeaway here is to be extremely careful when creating a Facebook Fan page for your business, or when having someone create a Fan Page for you. It is currently impossible to transfer admin rights to the page, and that can severely threaten the future of your Fan page if you have turnover at your organization.  The article is a must-read – great stuff, Ari.

  9. I think we managed to jump though seven levels of hell at work to get our FB group admin switched, but since it was all going to the same group email box, that made it a helluva lot easier.
